VRQR.CA

More than just a short URL

Short codes for long links, playing VR videos, and managing VR content

Shorten any address and get a QR code to print or send. Link a code to a VR video and it plays in the headset — in any format, with nothing to install. Change any code's target on the fly — the content changes immediately!

Unlock your content — three distinct use cases…

For anyone

Shorten a link

Any address becomes vrqr.ca/ and a few characters, with a QR code to print at whatever size you need. Repoint it whenever you like — codes already distributed don't need to change.

For content producers

Play VR content

Upload your VR video(s) and create a code. Your content plays on any device immediately, whatever the format, with no app install required. Multiple videos are presented in a menu — gaze to select in a headset, tap on a phone.

For a fleet of headsets

VR content management

Easily manage the content on your headsets — remotely! Update a code and every headset downloads what changed automatically, ready for offline playback.

Three steps, and none of them are an app install

1

Create a code

Use our system to create your custom code. Print it anywhere, or send it to your clients.

2

Scan or enter

Mobile users scan, headset users enter the short code — no install required!

3

Your content appears

Have just a single VR video? It plays immediately. Multiple VR experiences? They are presented in a menu — gaze at one in a headset, or tap it on a phone, and it launches!

A shortener stops at the page.
This one can go all the way into the headset.

Everything between the printed code and somebody watching is already here. That is the part that is normally a project.

It keeps working when the Wi-Fi does not

A venue's network is the thing most likely to fail on the day. So a menu can be saved into the headset itself: add it to the library, download the videos once, and it plays in airplane mode with no server involved. The headset checks for changes the next time it sees a network, and downloads only what actually changed.

Built for hotels and resorts, tour operators, museums and visitor centres, trade shows, and anyone handing a headset to somebody who has never worn one before.

About the email we send

Only two kinds, both of them because you asked for them: a message to confirm your address when you create an account, and a link to reset your password when you forget it. No newsletters, no marketing, no lists, and nothing passed to anyone else. What we keep, and for how long, is set out in the privacy notice.
